Animals Around Us

Class 3

🎯 Learning Objectives

📖 Let Us Begin!

Do you have a pet at home? Maybe a dog, a cat, or a parrot? Have you seen cows, goats, and hens in your neighbourhood?

Animals are all around us. Some live with us, some help farmers, and some live in forests far away. Each animal is special in its own way.

Let us learn about the wonderful animals around us!

Types of Animals

1. Pet Animals

These animals live with us at home. We take care of them and love them.

Examples: Dog, Cat, Parrot, Fish, Rabbit.

2. Farm Animals

These animals are kept by farmers. They give us food or help with work.

Examples: Cow (gives milk), Hen (gives eggs), Buffalo, Goat, Horse, Ox.

3. Wild Animals

These animals live in forests, jungles, and rivers. They find their own food.

Examples: Lion, Tiger, Elephant, Deer, Bear, Monkey, Crocodile.

Think about it: A dog can be a pet, but a tiger cannot. Why? Because wild animals are not safe to keep at home!

What Do Animals Eat?

Animals eat different kinds of food. We group them by what they eat:

TypeWhat They EatExamples
HerbivoreOnly plants, grass, leaves, fruitsCow, Deer, Rabbit, Elephant, Horse
